The TikTok feed for the sound has a ton of videos of people lip synching and vibing to the song. People are taking the audio clip and adding their own goofy comments to the song, piggybacking onto the trend. Somehow, two years later, if you like video games and are on TikTok, “Chug Jug with You” is probably all over your FYP. He wrote additional lyrics, recorded it in his bedroom, and posted it on Soundcloud in late 2018. Leviathan, a content creator on YouTube, thought the video was funny, so he decided to write a longer version of the song CM Skits started. “Let’s Play Fortnite” is grating, with off-beat lyrics like “You can take me to Moisty Mire but not Loot Lake” and “We can be pro Fortnite gamers.” CM Skits’ video has just 90,000 views, but it caught the attention of a 13-year-old boy who goes by the name Leviathan. TikTok tune du jour “Chug Jug with You” has its origins in two other songs: disco funk hit “American Boy” by Estelle and Kanye West, and “Let’s Play Fortnite,” a 16-second parody by YouTuber CM Skits. Chug Jug might be vaulted in the video game, but that hasn’t stopped it from delighting millions of people on social media. Instead millions are listening to a squeaky, prepubescent voice singing about a Fortnite item that’s no longer in the game. On March 15th, 2021, Redditor 1_- posted a copypasta about Tomato Town Massacre, with the post gaining over 120 upvotes in one day.The latest song to take over TikTok isn’t a pop hit or a fun remix. On March 13th, 2021, "Tomato Town" achieved top trends on Twitter in the U.S. On that day, several more users posted viral tweets referencing the lyric, including posts by (44,200 likes), (7,900 likes) and (8,000 likes) (shown below). On March 12th, 2021, Twitter user posted a You're Laughing meme that received over 21,900 retweets and 199,400 likes in two days (shown below). The first tweet in the thread gained over 1,100 retweets and 5,500 likes in three days (shown below, right). Also on the same day, Twitter user posted a thread "What's going on in Tomato Town: a thread," parodying Twitter threads about mass shootings and other violent incidents. On March 11th, Twitter user posted an I Killed Them All meme referencing "Chug Jug With You" that received over 10,900 retweets and 102,400 likes in three days (shown below, left). On March 10th, 2021, Twitter user posted the lyric combined with a photograph of Death Grips singer MC Ride, with the image gaining over 7,800 retweets and 54,000 likes in four days (shown below). Yeah, Fortnite, we 'bout get down (get down!) The lyric means that Leviathan and his friend killed 10 other players in the location. In the opening verse of the song, Leviathan sings about "wiping out Tomato Town" via "10 kills on the board," with Tomato Town being a location (point of interest) on the in-game map. ![]() In February 2021, the Fortnite-themed parody song "Chug Jug With You" by Leviathan went viral on social media.
